Activity Alarm Planner Template

A Markdown template for planning the alarm stages around one kid's activity — gear check, departure, arrival — before you build it as a routine in the app or set the reminders by hand.

How to use it

Plan the stages, then let the alarms take over

Step 1

Write down the activity, which child it is for, and the exact start time.

Step 2

List every stage that has ever gone wrong before — packing, leaving, arriving — and give each one a time.

Step 3

Mark which stages are merely helpful and which are non-negotiable, so the important one gets a louder alarm.

Why plan the stages before setting any alarms?

Because the stage that actually gets missed is rarely "start the activity" — it is "pack the bag last night" or "leave the house on time". Writing the stages down first surfaces the ones a single reminder always skips.

How many stages should one activity have?

As many as the activity has genuinely failed on before, and no more. Two or three well-placed stages — pack, leave, arrive — cover most lessons and practices without turning the phone into a wall of alarms.

How does KidoPulse help with this?

Once the stages are on paper, KidoPulse turns them into a reusable activity template: each stage becomes an alarm rule with its own timing, sound, and priority, and on iOS it rings through silent mode using the system's own AlarmKit — so the plan actually fires instead of getting missed as a notification.
