KidoPulse Privacy Policy

KidoPulse is a parent's tool for scheduling a child's activities and the alarms that lead up to them. It is used by a parent or guardian, not by a child directly, and everything you enter about your child — their profile, their activities, their alarms — is stored on your phone. There is no KidoPulse account and we operate no server that holds your children's data. This policy explains exactly what that means, and the limited data that does leave the device.

A child profile in KidoPulse can include a name, an age, a colour, and a photo or emoji avatar. Activities, activity templates, and the alarms attached to them are also tied to a specific child. All of this is entered by you, the parent or guardian, and is stored locally in the app's on-device storage. We never receive it, cannot read it, and have nothing to hand over, sell, or lose. Removing a child profile or deleting the app removes this data from the device.

KidoPulse has no sign-up, no login, and no server-side profile — for you or for your child. There is no automatic cloud sync of any data. The only way your data leaves the phone is a backup file you export yourself, through the app's own backup feature.

KidoPulse can export a JSON backup file containing your children's profiles, activity templates, calendar events, and alarms, and can import that file back in — on the same phone or a new one. A backup is created only when you ask for one, using your device's own share sheet to save or send the file; it is not uploaded to us. The file is not encrypted, so treat it the way you would any other file containing your child's name and schedule. Restoring a backup replaces the data on the phone, but never your Premium status — that stays tied to your purchase, not to the file.

If you choose a photo for a child's avatar, KidoPulse asks for camera or photo library access at that moment, never at launch. The photo is stored on your device as part of that child's profile and is not uploaded anywhere. Declining access simply leaves the default colour or emoji avatar in place.

KidoPulse schedules local alarms and notifications for the stages you set up around an activity — for example, a reminder the night before and another when it's time to leave. On iOS these are scheduled through Apple's AlarmKit so they can sound even when the phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb; on Android they use a scheduled exact alarm with a full-screen notification. Both are generated and fire entirely on your device and are never routed through a server. Notification and alarm permissions are requested when you first schedule an activity, not at launch.

KidoPulse uses a small number of third-party services for purchases, analytics, and app infrastructure. None of them receives your child's name, photo, activities, or schedule.

• Adapty — manages in-app purchases and reports whether this device has Premium access. It is never given your child's data.
• Amplitude — anonymous, aggregate usage analytics, such as which screens are opened or how onboarding is completed. It does not include a child's name, age, photo, or schedule.
• Expo — provides the app framework's own crash diagnostics and delivers over-the-air app updates; it processes technical device data, not the content you enter about your child.

Analytics events describe how the app is used in an anonymous, aggregate form — that a screen was opened, an alarm rule was created, or onboarding was completed. They never contain a child's name, age, photo, activity details, or alarm content. There are no advertisements inside KidoPulse.

KidoPulse is designed to be used by a parent or guardian on behalf of their child, not directly by a child, and it is not directed to children as its end user. The information a parent enters about a child is stored locally on that parent's device under this policy, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the app.

Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control of it. You can edit or remove a child's profile, delete any activity or alarm, export a backup, or remove the app entirely. There is no server-side record to request, correct, or erase, because we never held one.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use of KidoPulse after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
